FARMER SWALLOWED BY PYTHON IN SULAWESI
Over the years, there have been many discussions about humans swallowed by large snakes. Although many authorities doubt the countless reports, those who knew about anacondas and pythons had no doubt whatsoever. When I was in Surinam, French Guyana and the northern tip of Brazil in the early eighties of the last century, I went out on my own. Nearly all Indians told me about relatives and friends taken by anacondas. One of them actually witnessed an attack. Talking adults here, not children. Others with experience confirmed their stories. The last I talked to was a trader in wild animals. Same story. Until 1951, Indonesia was a Dutch colony. I talked to quite a few who had been born and bred in Java, Sumatra, Celebes and a number of smaller islands. Some had been in the forest for most of their life. Most of them confirmed the stories described in old books. In those days, Celebes in particular had large pythons. Although stories about humans swallowed by pythons were rare, they have been confirmed by authorities. Today, Celebes is Sulawesi. Although large, this island isn't as crowded as some of the other islands. Not so long ago, a story about a farmer swallowed by a large python made headlines. Based on what I read and saw, I think it's true. The poor man was surprised and most probably (I can confirm that even 6-8 feet pythons and anacondas have tremendous power) didn't stand a chance. The video has a length of 5:59 minutes. The story described above is told in the first minute only. There are longer videos, but I didn't like them. Which living snake has the greatest girth, the green anaconda or the reticulated python. How would you determine?
A fight between King Cobra and Python.. seems like python wins here becasue he has tighten the cobra in his grip.. usually King cobra wins these type of fights due to his high neurotoxic venom

I believe, even if they are able to have the same size, the anaconda is always the biggest, thus greatest girth. I think the reticulate python is the longest snake, but the anaconda the heaviest. Yes, I knew this. My point being, to compare the girth of these reptiles, you would compare them at equal length. Yes, the anaconda would prove to be heavier and of greater girth. You would not compare their girth by comparing them at equal weight. That would be pointless.

Absolute recorded biggest snake: The longest anaconda measured 8m28, weighed 227 kilos with a chest girth of 1m12: http://factsanddetails.com/asian/cat68/s...m2440.html At concerns the python and their chest girths figures are lacking, but we can consider the difference with the anaconda is noticeable. Come on 70 centimeters ! What do you think about ? I consider that python and anaconda have the same density in relation to the water. (They are made the same). Thus I apply this rule of three.
Green Anaconda measured 4,65 mts long measured 72 cent around its biggest part and weighted 80 kilograms, We have captured more than 40 Green Anacondas in the Venezuelan Llanos and the longest one measured 5,35 mts long. The truth is that I have not seen a picture of one over 6 meters long, according to information given by the late Jose Ayarzaguena who worked in Hato El Frio in the Venezuelan Llanos for more than 30 years the largest one measured 6,50 mts long
