Anacondas in Florida?

Does anyone know if anacondas are also being found in the Everglades?

We know that pythons are already in Florida and that their territorial expansion is limited northward by cold temperatures, but does anyone know whether pythons have been migrating south into South America?

I'll answer my own questions.

I found these about anacondas being found in Florida

I couldn't find anything about whether the invasive python population in Florida is expanding south towards the amazon.

Siegfried, Its defiantly and interesting topic, But may be other members don't have answer of your question. According to me python experts are very less in number in this forum.
I believe @GuateGojira has some great knowledge about pythons. Once he will see this thread, may be able to give you some answer.

So don't get discourage, Still this forum is growing and many experts of other species are missing, currently we have mostly big cats, bear experts. With time this forum will have all experts.

Hope you understand.

It is an interesting topic. If there actually is a breeding population in
the everglades, the potential is there to wreak havoc on the local
ecosystem, besides the obvious danger to man.

Hello to all.  Sorry for the absence, the work is very absorbing, like always.

In fact, as far I know, there are reticulated, African rock and Indian pythons already in the Everglades. So, is completely reasonable the existence of Anacondas in the same area. In fact, the documentary (from Nat Geo) that I saw stated that this could be the first time when it will be possible to see the interaction between the anaconda and the reticulated python in the same area, and we will be able to see which of them are the top predator.

At this moment, the python population is so high that it is practically impossible to exterminate them anymore. As for Anacondas, there are only sightings, but snakes are like bugs in this area, if you see one, then you have not saw the other 100.

The sad point is that while these magnificent predators are exploding in an alien place, they are endangered in they true homes (Asia and South America).
