There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

New member limitations

I understand why it´s implemented but the need for new members replies to be review by admins before they are visible is so annoying, I post a comment in response to another member´s comment that makes complete sense the moment I post it then it takes hours for my comment to get reviewed meanwhile other members post in the same thread and my post becomes meaningless it was pertinent hours ago I literally can´t have a discussion with anybody which is the all point of joining a forum.
In my opinion it would be better to review the comment after it was posted and visible to other members if it wasn´t deemed acceptable it would be erased that way new members could actually participate in a discussion when they decide to and not hours after.

I agree @Michael

As long as there is no undertone of VS to it, I think you should get the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

Hello @Michael ,
We are sorry for the trouble. But it is necessary to stop spammers. Sometime they post content when mods are not active and thus their post remain live for long duration which cause problem. It become more worse when someone post porn images or videos.
So to avoid these problem we have created this filter, This filter is lifted automatically once you make more than 10 posts and 7 days passes since your registration.
Do not bother much, We will lift the limit from you.

I didn't think of that @sanjay
That's a good point and a good rule.

To prevent spammers just add flood limit instead of making non spammers like me waiting for my comment to be approved.. like it's a bit annoying while your trying to contribute but yet you can't see your own post until a staff member has approved it.. :/

This is kinda a bad idea it's just my point of view tbh.

Hello @Aoki5150 ,
Sorry for the trouble caused. I can understand this. But since some people post pron related activity and if mod is not available for some time, it get circulated in the forum which I think diminish the forum reputation.
This limitation is for 7 days and upto 10 posts only, once you cross this, you are free to post as normal users. Though understanding your frustration, I have removed the limitation from you.

Looking for great contribution from your side

HOW TO DISTINGUISH SPAMMERS FROM SERIOUS POSTERS

The aim of this forum is good information. That's it. Seems easy, but reality says it's not. Over the years, we've had many problems with members interested in something else. As a result, quite a few have been banned. Those who were, not seldom tried to retaliate. Not seldom, they're still at it. This is without trolls and all the rest of it. You have no idea.

In order to prevent problems, a new method was adopted for would-be members. This method has disadvantages, but the results are not bad. The forum is doing well and no members have been banned in the last months. The only exception is Garfield, who easily tops the one-week-ban table, but he's writing a thesis on obsessions and dense lions.

At the moment, we're discussing a new method. The idea is to ask would-be members to tell us a bit more about things they want to discuss in, say, 50-200 words. We might include a smallish question about lions and tigers in order to get things straight. In this way, we can get to an assessment. The test isn't about language, as that is not the object (anyone able to write 'animal' in his own words can join, as far as we're concerned). It's about being able to contribute in the content department and about the willingness to respect a few rules when communicating.

We do not doubt there could be more efficient tools. Members who have ideas are invited to contribute.
