You should see the one @Pckts posted on post #426. She is a tank! If someone said that was a male tiger, I wouldn’t bat an eyelid. Terai does have some big specimens.

Also, what is the mother feeding the sub adult on post #433. He is unlike any sub-adult I have seen.

I thought it looked odd for a Corbett Tiger, good eye.
Even the Dudhwa tiger looks more like a Corbett one to me too.

On Wednesday, some students on their way to school had spotted the big cat, which was unable to move. They informed the forest department about it. The dehydrated 4-year-old (however another conflicting news says it was not sick but old) male tiger was tranquilised by a team of veterinary doctors & experts from Wildlife Institute of India. On Thursday morning, the big cat was moved to Chidiyapur Rescue Centre of forest department where it is now being given preliminary treatment.

Interestingly, just on Thursday another tiger killed a leopard & consumed parts of his body in the same area of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand, between Corbett & Rajaji Tiger Reserves.

Forest officials say this is first sighting of a tiger there. According to them, it could be a 'new habitat' for tigers apart from their regular homes along the Corbett-Rajaji corridor on Terai plains. The area on the Siwalik foothills & at higher altitude than where the tigers usually stick to.

“Tigers are certainly moving uphill, as this one was spotted 20km north of Rajaji and Corbett Tiger reserves. Pauri Garhwal, therefore, is emerging as a new habitat for tigers. Last year we saw a camera footage of a tigress in Yamkeshwar block. From the past one month, villagers said that have felt the presence of tigers here. Now we are certain," said Vaibhav Singh, DFO Rudraprayag.
