Both pictures by Liam Rainier from Simbambili. Mfumo is the Birmingham in the top photo and two of the Birmingham Boys in the bottom photo. The one on the right is definitely Nhenha (has a V nick in his left ear). Want to say the other one is Nsuku, but I'm not sure.

Male #1's mane is always perfect, as if he just stepped out of the barbery.

The two birmingham males were still resting up in the north when we went back to relocate them in the afternoon safari a few days ago. They eventually got active and went for a drink at a nearby dam. Images by Andrew Khosa

3 Birmingham Males were seen at Arathusa today. This is the first time in a while that more than 2 have been seen together. Nhena on the left, Mufumo on the right and Tinyo with his back to the camera.

odd that they're next to elephant plains, given their "fear" of the majingilanes.

RE: The Birmingham Males - Georgel - 01-12-2017

They know the Majingilanes are in Idube and took a little courage :)

RE: The Birmingham Males - leocrest - 01-12-2017

the bboys must have planted a gps device in dark manes face wound.

RE: The Birmingham Males - Georgel - 01-12-2017

No, they read this forum yesterday and found the info about the Majingilanes :)

RE: The Birmingham Males - leocrest - 01-12-2017

haha no doubt

RE: The Birmingham Males - vinodkumarn - 01-12-2017

BBoys have enough territory and small cubs to be raised.
I think they will encounter any dominant males only if the current cubs are grown up a little bit...
By that time Majis may be too old..!  who knows.. they may be still strong for a fight..!!

From Cheetah Plains Private Reserve Game
All four of the Birmingham Male lion coalition were located resting up near a dam in the north. It is not often that these males come together since they are normally split up doing patrols or with the different prides. Images by Andrew Khosa
