BB 2 is looking huge and majestic!

BB 3 reminds me so much of scrapper in certain photos! Have to do a double take at times.

We tracked down one of the Birmingham Male Lions while out on Safari yesterday. There seems to be a constant battle between the males for dominance, and as such - access to females. Image by Aneen Neethling

poor boy. number 4 seems to be on the receiving end of a lot of the exchanges. i'm guessing he's also younger/less dominant. great to have so many fantastic pictures being posted!

From Nkorho Bush Lodge

9 September
- Found two Birmingham males and one Styx female laying down together doing some contact calls before they decided to get up and move south out of the northern area.
- Later another one of the males was found just a little bit West from the others, he was moving quite swiftly north.
- Lots of other general game!

Kind Regards

A Birmingham male lion rolls over while he was resting. Lions are generally only active for a few hours a day, and primarily under the cover of darkness. They conserve their energy by resting up through the heat of the day. Image by Myke Glasson

Male #3

The first thought that crossed my mind when I saw this pic is that he looked magnificent. All majestic, doing honour to the stereotype lions have been subject to since the beginnings of time.
