It was a very windy afternoon and we had been waiting for this Majingilane male to start moving. As it started getting cooler he sat up, facing head on into the wind as the sun started setting in the background; we managed to get into the right place to capture the different tawny colours of the bush.

This was such a special moment for me to witness. I finally got to see the three remaining Majingilane males together. Although they are old and not quite in their prime, they are still wonderful to watch and quite formidable!

This face tells many stories!! The things that this Majingalane must have seen in his life...

The King of Beasts, an icon of Africa & a creature that instill a sense of confidence in us, a symbol of power & strength that keeps us moving onwards & into great achievements.

Yet, they are far more dependent on us than what you may know. If conservation efforts fail he along with his kind will vanish into extinction, gone forever.

Can you imagine a world without lions?

My scars tell a story.

They are reminders of when life tried to break me, but failed.

Some of you have been asking about the Majingilane coalition. Unfortunately we don't have much news to report regarding their whereabouts except that they left our reserve and headed to the east. HOWEVER! Dinamosi Malhenze reported that he has recently observed an Othawa female showing signs of lactating. We are very excited about the prospects of new Lion cubs being revealed by the pride in the near future. We'll keep you posted!

No, it's an older video, I think from 2015.

Finally it looks like the boys found something to eat, this will be very beneficial for them and it will get them back in shape and probably get back to territorial patrol.

Is there a recent update on the Majingilane Males? Where are they now?

I haven't seen any, they must be more to the east on one of those reserves that don't upload as often as the others, like Singita for example.
