Majingilane Male Lion in full stride.

He was running after a hyena that got to close to them. The 2 hyena had a tough morning, they were harassed by a pack of wild dogs moments before being chased off by this male lion.

Nature is Savage. The feud between lions and hyena is completely true. We we're lucky enough to witness this first hand, and the unfortunate truth about these animals is they don't die easily. This particular hyena struggled for about 15 minutes after being caught before dying. In fact, he was still very much alive when this photo was taken. I think the majingilanes are the lions who killed more hyenas in all africa history. Even weak and only some days before his death hip scar was able to kill a hyena.

Nah, it's just that we got to see them doing it.

All over africa lions do it, so I don't see why the Majingilane would have killed more.

on the londoliza blog that stated that when the majingalane lions controlled central sari sands the hyena population declined and when they went west thats when the hyena population started a resurgence or incline again.

Thats different than killing of hyena.
Hyena are not fool, when they see aggressive and large coalition of lion in an area, they tend to avoid that area until the lions left that place
