Amur 's of the Russian Far East / Дикие Кошки Дальнего Востока

A big beautiful male

? tiger caught in camera traps lens in the National Park "Bikin" in Primorye!

National Park "Bikin" - Russian Amazon - the largest undisturbed array of mixed forests in the Northern Hemisphere, retaining 10% of the population of the Amur tiger. There is traditionally one of the Amur tiger monitoring sites in which more than 15 years, together with the staff of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) we have been monitoring tigers and its habitat. Over the years, this area was recorded from 7 to 12 tigers. And, of course, it is important that this year we actually passed, not only photo-traps, but also entrusted a key portion of the state monitoring of the administration of the National Park "Bikin".

After the first test of camera traps in the lens were three tigers! A large male, a female and most probably another female, but this female is

These cubs named Prince and Vostok thriving in wild after IFAW (International Fund for Animal Welfare) rescued & released their mother Zolushka  in the Bastak Nature Reserve in the Jewish Autonomous Region.

The cubs believed to be fathered by Zavetny (a male inhabiting the same area) became the first wild born tiger to settle in the Jewish Autonomous Region almost 40 years after the local Amur tiger population completely vanished.

Zavetny the father SETTLED in Bastak Zapovednik, it means he moved in from some other reserve, though there's not much info on from where Zavetny moved in from.

It is normal for tigers to move & settle down in regions that are far away from their birth place.

Tiger Jai was not born in Umred Karhandla, he moved in from Nagzira.

Tiger Charger wasn't born in Bandhavgarh, he moved in from some near by reserve in early 90s.

Since 1998-99 as many as 11 tigers had moved from Ranthambore reserve to wildlife sanctuaries in MP, including Kuno-Palpur. Tigers use the Chambal corridor to migrate to Kuno in MP  from Ranthambore.
