This video does a really good job explaining everything that has taken place to this point. Thank you for sharing this @239Pu

The info on Tumbela males birth are wrong in this video. Tumbela Males are 5 years born in around November 2015. Wrong info on Matimba Male age also....

So not sure how credible this video is

Any age between plus or minus 1-2 years is accurate. These are wild animals and no one accurately knows their ages.

but 1 or 2 years can change the wild lions status....so its too damn important what your saying about them...!!!
as we already seen many rangers saying matimbas 15 years...but there are peoples who think they have more knowledge and tagging him 14 years old...!!!

We do know. Those males did not came from Kruger. They came from Manyeleti from where we have regular updates. Oldest Tumbelas are born in November 2015. Some can be slightly younger. I do not remember for sure how big were age differences in that generation but I do not think there were some noticible, like few weeks at most.

Ross Couper Singita Update
Hi...
The Othawa male, or Prince, was last viewed 4 days ago in central Singita. The Mhangeni pride have been spending a lot of time in the Sand River in an area inaccessible to vehicles at present. We have not had any signs of the Matimba male lion at all. Last update we received was that he had headed south towards Savanna Lodge.

RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - sik94 - 10-07-2020

Question, the southern/selati pride is the same as the sand river pride?

This video is VERY CREDIBLE.
the Nharu cubs were born in Nov 2015 onwards so nobody knows if the three Tumbela males have born exactly in Nov 2015.
Also that Youtube channel has a very great knowledge.

Beautiful Torchwood Young Male at Mala Mala confirmed to now be nomadic. 100% the son of the Warrior Nhenha.
This young male lion was attracted to the smell of a dead buffalo near MalaMala camp, unfortunately the Kambula Pride and Gowrie males were already feasting on the carcass and so he he eventually left in search of another meal."

He's really looking fantastic.

One of the most beautiful young males who walks through the SS at the moment... he has a very big size and a mane extremely good

Warrior cannot be used for Nhena. Nhena is yet to have a scratch from a fight or battle. Hasn't been involved in a battle in his life...

Warrior can only used for legendary lions like Hairy Belly, Ginger Mapogos and Majingelanes who were involved in countless battles and had near death fights and injuries. And came out like true Kings when everyone thought they were finished.

And you know that?? We dont know even 50% what happens in the bush..

He was named like that by rangers, and with a reason..

RE: Lions of Sabi Sands - Nathan Aiden - 10-07-2020

We get to know what happens with other lions but not Nhena. Strange.

They were on WildEarth safari and names were chosed for them. Usually names are given to distinguish each individual.

Im not talking just about Nhenha, im talking in general that we dont know all what happens, especially at nights where there isnt rangers and people to witness it, and lions are most active over night..

We prob know only 50% what happens with lions which is reported..

Nhenha is a 10 yrs old lion, dominant for around 5 yrs, and to say that he didnt have a fight in his life with other males just because it isnt reported is rubish and quite impossible...

Anyway, i think i seen somewhere that he is named "Warrior" by rangers because of his fighting ability, he was always there to fight his brothers and win, because he was the strongest, biggest and most dominant of them with Mfumo..
