Hey, so the Birmingham breakway pride is also called the Nharhu pride correct? And its ruled by the Ross males or the Red Road male? When did the prides split?

Theres Birmingham breakeaway (in Ngala, ruled by Ross males) and Nharu pride (also Birmingham breakeaway in Manyeleti, sisters of Bboys, they are ruled by RRM).
Nharu split in 2014, idk about Birmingham breakeaway in Ngala..

Nharhu pride is the one with 9 cubs (once 17) in south Manyeleti, sired by Red Road male who is with them. They were recently spotted feeding on a carcass near the dam in the very southwestern corner of Manyeleti, much more souther location than usual as the upcoming Tintswalo coalition of 4 young males is quite a dangerous neighbour to their north. Tinstswalos are in central Manyleti, near their namesake camp at times, an area of Mbiri pride, who is natal pride of 3 of them, the other is originally from Nharhu pride, he is a brother of the 3 males knows as Tumbela coalition.
There are also coalitions in Timbavati of the same name, Nharhu and Mbiri as well, 3 and 2 afaik.
Ross males rule the Birmingham pride in Timbavati, I thought Birmingham Breakway pride is next to them, but I might be relying on an outdated map, I am not up to date with most of the Timbavati dynamics.

Gotcha thanks, I was watching the WildEarth stream and the Ngala Birmingham Breakaways were relaxing after a wildebeest kill. Two male lions began to call in the distance which led to the entire group getting up and fleeing into the other direction. The guide said it was two lions calling and said it was the Ross males which confused me.

Amanda the 3 main Nharu females do originally come from the Birmingham Pride, however the breakaway pride is a different pride that had 7 lions the last time we saw them
Also the location Nharu were seen at is apprently called Dixie dam (the footage of it is in Lions of Manyeleti thread).

Situation with Ross males and Birmingham breakeaway is not clear, rangers are saying that they are stil dominant over them (they where in the past and sired cubs) , but theres no recent sightings of them together..
I think they are not hanging with them anymore (might be wrong tho)..

Who are the new males with the Breakaways? They said the lionesses now have seven new cubs (3-4 months).... but we always see the Ross Males with the Birmingham Pride. Are there other males in that area that could possibly be dominant over the Breakaways? The prides territory is also a bit unclear so they could be going deep into Kruger.

Ross males are in full controll of Ngala and if some cubs appear there, they are for sure sired by Ross males.

The breakaways aren’t in Ngala. The area has been pretty well documented for the last year and according to all guides, they never see the breakaway pride except maybe 3 times the whole past year. Plus the females with cubs weren’t in Ngala. The Ross Males are also well documented and are with the original Birmingham pride almost 24/7 since last year. So I don’t know.... I think it’s a bit of mystery to me at least...

Breakeaway are seen in western Ngala and southern Timbavati towards Avoca pride territory/Shindzela Camp as far as i know.. If they are in Kruger, they would be north of Birmingham main territory, and thats area of Myambula pride..
Rangers said that multiple times, and about not seeing them in WE, they are filming around Ngala Camp near Orpens, as far as I know they dont go all the way west because of bad signal..
There was 14 lions on that sighting, and those are mostly subadults, breakeaway is in the same phase as main pride, older females are having new cubs and this subadults are in the process of spliting,breakeaway of breakeaway..
Those new cubs are very likely sired also by Ross males, we would see other males if they are close by or coming from Kruger..
As far as i understand , Ross males don't hang out with these subadults, they are hanging with main pride and breakeaway is their "affair" pride, only mating with older females, so thats the reason why subadults are avoiding them (if im not mistaken theres a video some time ago when 1 Ross male joined them on a carcass, and tensions where quite high)..

Birmingham females pressuring one the sub-adult females. Forcing her to stay away and snarling at her, she was attacked for a few seconds.
The guide says he believes the youngster is the sister of the white lioness.
