Daniel Rosengren: " Why the red face?

The face and neck skin of this Hooded Vulture can change from bright pinkish to white in a matter of seconds. The skin turns reddish pink when aggressive or excited and turns white when scared or submissive, not unlike (but more extreme) the facial skin in humans. The pinkish colour is caused by blood vessels opening up.
Hooded vultures are relatively small and have a very weak beak. Therefore they depend on larger vultures or other scavengers to open the skin of a carcass before it can eat.
Sadly, like many other vultures, the hooded vulture is critically endangered.

Kintoo Dhawan: " The live kill of Changeable Hawk Eagle.

We were heading towards the Dhikala FRH and we saw a very unusual action.
A grey langoor mother having a new born baby ( few hours old ) around her chest, was sitting on a boulder with other langoors, when all of a sudden a Changeable Hawk Eagle attacked that poor langoor mother and snatched away her newly born baby giving no time to react.
He flew away, holding that baby in its razor sharp talons and landed on a dry tree, the other side of the road.
Instantly he tore apart that baby and started eating it.
You can see how full is it's croup. "
