Oh gosh, I hope it wasn't RN's youngest son.

Sorry. I needed to wait until guides said it was ok to go public. I have updated the post accordingly

RE: Nkuhuma Pride - Ttimemarti - 03-03-2024

RIP LIPSCAR NKUHUMA!!!!

RE: Nkuhuma Pride - KM600 - 03-03-2024

Very, very big loss. Last I heard they were quite a distance from Kambulas so it was most likely PCMs who killed him. Looked to be developing into a magnificent male too.

Very surprised how he seemingly died too, Nkuhuma boys are known to move around in numbers and are great at staying safe. Lipscar dying with a broken back implies he was either unknowingly caught or had sustained it during a fight he willingly participated in. Interested to see if anyone knows what led up to this altercation.

RE: Nkuhuma Pride - Tr1x24 - 03-03-2024

Oh, such a shame for this boy..

I fear this could happen as these boys where announacing themselves a lot since they returned (even before) but are prob not yet ready for serious clash..

I hope we will get some info about what happened.

RE: Nkuhuma Pride - Mapokser - 03-03-2024

It seems the BDM were the culprit, surprisingly enough.

They were chasing the NK.

It seems that at the end of the day age is a big factor, most of these 4yo lions, even if big, lack the mentality to stay and fight.

And it seems the lions have an almost "supernatural" ability to tell the strength of their opponents from roars.

BDM can somehow know Mohawk and 4 sons weren't strong like 4 Kambulas or even duos like PCM and Ndhzenga.

A sad loss but hopefully this pushes Mohawk and sons back to Kruger.

Edit: just to make sure, I'm assuming it was the BDM, idk if it was truly them.

Edit 2: actually I think the BDM were chasing the NK pride, not males, and in Djuma, but if it was the pride, why chase? The pride have accepted them already.

PCM in Londolozi, Kambulas somewhere in the North, I've no idea what happened anymore.

Could be either Nkuhuma pride or boys, but BDM also possible killers.

R.I.P young male

Source?

NKs returned back to the pride and BDMs where near by (lastly i know), so clash might have happened.

RE: Nkuhuma Pride - T_Ferguson - 03-03-2024

So very sad, but I guess this was somewhat predictable.  Lots of Male lions in a small space.   I know the BDM's were in and around, but I didn't think they were as far as Singita.  It's also surprising that the BDM's would go this far after the way they were around the Kambula's.  I'd almost put this on the Mangheni girls before the BDM's but so be it.  Who knows what makes lions snap at times.  Likely won't get any confirmation, but would be curious to know the true culprits.  PCM's?

Singita is fenced off right?  There's no access from the Northeast for any other reserve?

RE: Nkuhuma Pride - Ttimemarti - 03-03-2024

At the end of the day they are not ready and are too young to be roaring I think only ridgenoses son is 5 years old or just turned 5 but again more bad luck for the avoca bloodline in sabi sands. This hurts so much
